Shore Angling Code


Do's and Don't's:
- Take care to avoid putting roosting or feeding birds to flight especially when shore angling at high tide or at night
- Avoid angling at known active bird nesting sites
- Tread carefully on the rocky shore if fishing off the rocks at low tide
- Take all waste home and dispose of it safely including old hooks, line and tackle which can hurt birds and animals
- Take only as much bait as you need and return unused worms to the beach
- Follow the National Federation of Sea Anglers Code
- Look out for posted information on local fishing sites
- Be aware of other beach users and activities when making fishing location choices
- Be aware of others and take care when casting
- Help conserve fish stocks by returning undersized or surplus fish, alive and healthy, to the sea
- During the periods of dawn and dusk, September to February wildfowlers will be present in the estuary.
- Use night fishing/collecting lights with consideration for other Park users
